globes and maps

I've got less than a week left here in the big HK. It's gotten a little colder, windier. It had been in the 60s and 70s and now it's like maybe in the 50s and breezy, but still not bad for mid-January. I'm not yet at the point where I want to go home, mainly because there is still so much to see (I won't get the chance to see it all) and also because school will start really soon after I get back, and I'm still not over last semester.

It's going to suck to leave... especially because I'm not sure when I'll be back, or how long it will be before I see this side of the fam again. sniff. Although.. my stepmom is cool and all but she complains all the time. And after a while her neurotic/only child syndrome tendencies start to show and I can't be in tight-quarters with her for extended periods of time without wanting to jump out a window. Thank god none of those genes are in my blood. Or Connor's.. hahaha.. (that's an inside reference). Anyway, it makes me feel like I'm mentally stable in comparison so I guess that's an upside? Okay it's not that bad. But I'm still glad I'm not related... and that I don't still live here full time. haha. My dad, however, is awesome and I visited him at his office and it was pretty rock solid, but they could really work on their espresso machine. i know, i know, bitch bitch bitch. Being here is awesome. There. And here's something I'm not complaining about - THE VIEW. Freaking amazing as the haze hits the big rocks/mini islands.

part of the complex. that's the hole where the Dragon spirits are supposed to fly through to get from the mountain to the water in the Bay. my dad lives on the other side of the HK island, about a 20 minute bus ride from the city. upscale, where a lot of ex-pats live i guess. Posted by Picasa
